He did pretty good. I was waiting to bus between domestic and international not realising you have to go quantas to get the free transfer. He had to step on it a bit and he did admirably :-)
> Can you believe I've never been out of the country! No way! Okay, so I have only been to Australia and Norfolk Island...
>But it's never too late to start. How on Earth did you survive 3 mths in Canberra???
It wasn't so bad.
>Tassie is beautiful but just way smaller and slower than most anywhere else.
Yeah. Bit like Christchurch NZ. Church on every block. Verrrrrrrry conservative. Town shuts at 4pm. We got directed to the 'tourist areas' just to grab an evening meal. But beautiful, yeah.
>I'm still coming to grips with 3mths in Canberra. The only people who live there are pollies, public servants and porn distributers (so I'm told) ;0)
Now now, there is a very nice university there too ya know :-)
Besides which all the pollies and public servants fly to Sydney or Melborne on weekends.
> I guess I should see your Eels and raise the Chiefs =0).
Oh, you are a smartie :-) It is okay, you don't have to tell me that the Chiefs suck. More of a Waikato supporter myself (for the NPC - National Provincial Championships). Have you heard the Mooloo song???
I'm no huge sports fan either, just a supporter of underdogs and quiet achievers.
We have a saying here in NZ. We support two teams: NZ and whoever is playing Australia.
>But Sonny Bill Williams is ginormous here right now.
Who??
> Hope your weekend was great. Over here it was wet, wet and wet!Yeah, we are pretty sunny at the mo :-)
