To hell- no way! The story was worth it!
Oh yeah- I gues I should tell my story...
I was a teacher's assistant in 1998. In a 2nd grade that had 34 students in it (that's urban sprawl for ya) and 8 or so were special ed (they were autistic, and were the brightest 2nd graders I ever met). I was having them do mosaic art with dried beans and corn. I was having them use normal Elmer's glue- but I wanted to do mine with super glue, so that mine didn't have to dry and I could show them at the end of class what theirs would look like by tomorrow (when their's would be dry).... I didn't notice that my elbow had gotten a little glue on it and that I had stuck it in the plate of corn that I was working from.
Well, when I stood up to show off mine, along came the plate - corn spilled everywhere. The teacher decided to re-enter the classroom at this time. The kids thought I was hilarious. Then I tried tearing off the paper plate from my arm- which only revealed corn, stuck to my arm.
Yeah... it was a special kind of day. One little special girl came up to me when I was leaving and whispered, "Don't worry, I won't let her tell the principal on you"
So, there's my embarassing glue story.
<blush>
