Hi Namaste, I see you have decided to become a "therapist" AKA psychology bullshitter. And join the wonderful world known as the mental health profession <sarcasm>. Congratulations. You should be proud of yourself.There are a lot of criticisms and complaints regarding the mental health profession, psychiatry and psychology. One day the field will be destroyed and replaced with Neurology. With real brain science. Psychiatry is not a scientific branch of medicine. It is a pseudu-science and gets poor results, particularly for severe mental illnesses.
You should read some Dr. E. Fuller Torrey, MD books to get the "lowdown" on the real deal regarding serious mental illness. You sound very naiive and very "psychobabbly."
BTW, therapy is useless for any kind of severe mental illness. What many of these people need are new brains (literally). Instead of therapists, many of these people afflicted with severe mental illness need genetic engineering solutions which will regrow atrophied brain areas. We need NASA high technology applied to the brain and mental illness, we dont need you and your "therapy."
