I think I'd best keep hidden. It's quite a conundrum for someone who values tolerance and respect for the opinions of others to be having trouble being tolerant in the face of the lack thereof. You know, you just feel like yelling to everyone in the entire world (it seems) "D*MN IT!!! BE TOLERANT AND ACCEPTING OF OTHERS!!!" which wouldn't be very tolerant or accepting of others. So I'm trying to understand the reasons people may not share my values of tolerance, acceptance of others, and trying to understand why others feel the way they do, and wrestling every minute to maintain those very values in this particular situation. (Which, incidentally means people on both sides of the political spectrum. Although I suspect there are many who feel as I do. They're just all silent busy wrestling the same conundrum.)
I haven't won the fight yet, so I need to keep my rage at the rage contained until I have it wrestled to the ground. But I feel it, make no mistake. I feel utter rage at the rage.
Or as my husband always says I say (in your best flat and totally calm voice - I can't recall the movie/TV reference):
"I am enraged."
