Vacuum... » CatFanatic

We do have carpets, which I hate, but for the cat hair and kitty litter on the bathroom floors, I use a vacuum. I'd love to get a little shopvac, but haven't quite justified the expense yet. For what it's worth, we have three vacuum cleaners -- one, which was my husband's before we met, we never use; the upright is for the big areas; and the canister is for the small areas and the hard surfaces. It's just easier to get into smaller areas with it. I haven't found that a shop vac is necessary for the cat related cleaning, just our regular canister vacuum. If you're going to have to buy a vacuum, I'd say go for the cheaper end and try it. The small shopvacs I've seen -- which are wet/dry, the reason I want one -- are about $50, so that might be a good choice. Otherwise, just about any canister vac will pick those things up off a hard floor.

Best luck.
