Want/Need survey

A quick survey, for those willing to answer.
I was wondering -
Would you prefer somebody to need you or want you?
For those who answer, can I ask that you only answer with one word - want/need - and not discuss the reasons why. I just want to see what everyone comes up with on their own terms, not influenced by the discussions of others. Then later we can discuss the reasons. Thanks. :)
