Don't be too hard on yourself, Babe. You aren't just being a party-pooper. You have some serious issues you are dealing with. This is NOT how we chose to live our lives - fighing anxiety, etc. But since we have it, we have to deal with it. If we had diabetes or cancer instead, we would have had to deal with that. People seem to think that since what we fight is a brain disorder, that it is only in our "minds" or thought patterns. It is just part of our struggle - the fact that no one can understand unless they have been through it themselves. That is why this board is such a blessing.
It is possible to take a Xanax to ease the anxiety of flying, or are you just not comfortable with that yet? Do you have any other options? Can you drive? Or take a bus or train? If not, your husband can either go alone or he will just get over the disappointment. He loves you, and it will be ok. And remember, someday, maybe someday soon, you may just be feeling so great you will be dragging him on to planes to jet around the country.
God bless.
