You did post a message after you got back, so I knew all had gone well. I also knew (and could tell from the messages you were posting) that the Parnate was working well for you as it had before. (big relief). We all have our questions we need answered sometimes -- you needed to know if Moclobemide (sp?) would work as well as Parnate -- you found out it did NOT. I now need to know if I can remain well without Remeron (or at least less of it) in my system. So I'm in the process of tapering down. We'll see how it goes. I'm certainly not opposed to going back on it if it turns out I can't, but, in truth, I will be disappointed if that happens. I haven't gained any more weight than the 20 pounds I put on initially, but I HATE the extra fat -- and the longer I'm well the more I hate it. It's all around my middle -- I basically lost my waist-line. It's sad because I've always had a cute figure; now I don't. I hate going shopping for clothes because I don't like anything I put on. I got rid of a bunch of dresses in my closet that I couldn't fit anymore, but have never replaced any of them. I definitely don't tuck my shirts in anymore; they hang over my waist. And then I stare as I watch women/girls around me wearing the latest fashion trend of hip-hugger pants with a short top that shows their belly -- and they're fat! They don't care! You wouldn't catch me dead in that style!! So, I don't know -- maybe it's all a mind-set/attitude.
California is gorgeous! We're in that time of year when the weather can't make up it's mind about whether it's cold or warm. We go from days of temperatures in the mid-50's to low-60's to days in the upper-70's to low-80's. Today was a 70's-80's day. Me and the kids spent the whole afternoon in the park. I'm glad for the sunny weather and longer days as I do have trouble with S.A.D. as well. This winter wasn't as bad, though, since I was doing so well on the Remeron.
Well, I could go on and on, but I've got to get to bed.
