Yesterday while driving home from work, I finally remembered the name of the man who could put his shoes under my bed any old night. Harry Dean Stanton. The memory of him dancing with the broom and playing the fiddle in the video that Dolly Parton, Emmy Lou Harris and Linda Rondstadt did several years ago...Alan O'Bryant wrote the song and the video was "oh, so sexy" and sadly sweet........(Alan O'Bryan is the banjo player and sweet harmonizer in The Nashville Bluegrass Band. I was totally blown away by seeing them in Santa Fe in 1999. Even if you've never, ever thought of bluegrass and you get the chance to see this band, do it! It is a musical experience that no music lover should miss...harmony, sweetness, silliness, musicalness beyond anything I've ever seen)
