HI Kinny,
I know that your post was redirected to the meds board, but I thought I would add something here.
I understand that you feel that the meds have caused the symptoms that you are seeing. That may well be the case, but I always like to keep my mind open to other possibilities. This may be a problem with meds, or it may be something else entirely. The point is to keep yourself open enough to look at everything. Even the physicians can be subject to bias.
I would tell the doctors about the possible reaction to the meds, but if you talk about it a great deal, then the physician might focus more attention on that rather than looking in other places that could be more fruitfull. In short, I guess that what I am saying is that I would work on this problem in a way that would explore the greatest number of options.
The next thing that I would try to do is work on making sure that I take care of myself, as well as my son. He will need some support, and he can't get that from his parents if they are all stressed out.
I think that your Son has a wonderful support person in you. You are intersted, involved, and dedicated. Not every parent of a child who has an experience like your son would come here, or anywhere for that matter, to research and to find ways to help. Some trust the doctors, and leave it at that. I think that you are an absolutely fabulous parent, and I am very pleased to see you here.
This is a wonderful place, and you aren't likely to find a place with more knowledge, caring, and support anywhere.
Good luck, and please feel free to ask any questions that you have.
Dee.
