Hello all,
Last night I inadvertently posted under a different name.
I have a dear friend named Dee. She loves my dogs and my dogs love her. She is also a very helpful person. So when I need to go out of town (like to visit my daughter at college), Dee often stays at my house and takes care of my dogs when I'm gone. She does a really great job with the dogs and I know they are in good loving hands. She also does odd jobs around my house - like she installed a new hall light for me because the old one was very broken, she fixed some of my telephones so that I can now dial from all of them!! Anyway, I love having her come and really appreciate her help.
A while ago I introduced Dee to Babble, but we didn't tell Babble that we knew each other in real life (that seemed the right thing to do). So while she was at my house this weekend, she used my computer to post on Babble. Her babble name is DeirdreHbrt. When I came home I went straight to Babble (of course) and I did a few posts (maybe 6?).
This morning I came on Babble and was looking at a thread that I knew I had posted on last night, but I couldn't find my post. Sometimes I spaz and close the window instead of confirming the post... So I read the messages in the thread and when I read the response by DeirdreHbrt it sounded awfully familiar. I then switched back to my very own name.
So, if there was a post last night (11/2) by DeirdreHbrt, it was really by me. I don't believe that she posted after 5PM yesterday. If anyone wants, I can find the posts and identify them for you, or I can put a note in each thread.
Sorry about that!!! I thought the message read indicators were on a per machine basis (i.e. it recorded which posts were read on this machine) rather than on a per poster basis (i.e. if I sign on as me on another machine it knows what I read here). Babble is good - it is per poster (thanks, Bob!). So having the posts read indicators wrong didn't seem unusual to me.
So, this long winded post is just to clarify who said what, and to apologize for any confusion.
By the way, Dee is a wonderfully sweet, kind and intellegent person who is always giving. I feel so lucky to have her as a friend.
