Although it's only a 1/4 reduction in fat, I'm definitely going to try this. Every little bit helps, right? Too bad it's not also low in carbs... ;-)
"DALLAS -- Diet-conscious Americans can now add lower-fat pizza to their menu.
Dallas-based Pizza Hut says it will sell a slice that has one-fourth less fat than its regular counterpart.Pizza Hut is the leading pizza restaurant chain.
Company officials say they are the first in the pizza industry to go nationwide with a lowfat offering.
They plan to offer the "Fit 'N Delicious" pizza in most of their 6,600 U.S. locations by end of the month.
Pizza Hut president Peter Hearl says the company is simply responding to changing consumer tastes and desire for healthier food alternatives.
The new pizza and a four-serving prepared salad will be widely available early next year.
A spokeswoman for Domino's said the delivery chain was studying whether to offer a lower-fat pizza.
She added that Domino's had tested a lowfat pizza in the 1980s in select markets and it flopped."
