Awww, if you can't take the cold get out of Vermont, huh? I guess most of VT is pretty isolated. I love Burlington...reminds me of a little Seattle. but even it is getting over developed. Malls and condos sprouting up everywhere. Not right in town of course, but...I do love North carolina. My folks are thinking about moving there. Semi- retired. actually tons of people from NJ seem to be retiring there. So many of the parents of kids I went to high school with.
We used to go to Topsail Island and gawk at the marines. Oh and Wilmington. Yeah and I almost wwent to UNC Chapel Hill.>The air smells different...cleaner, somehow.

Oo oo! A farmhouse!!! I went to school in Indiana and still miss it. Not the hick-factor but the countryside. Could drive 10 minutes and be lost in a sea of cornfields and stars that lit up the sky. but I'm an East coast gal...I couldn't live out there.> We have discussed cohabitation,

We've only been in since july 1st but i'm so excited about the painting!! Check this out:
www.behr.com. You can pick out colors and they'll give you colors to match. Thennnn you can chose a room and cyber "paint" it! Aw it is just a blast. And I'm not working now so I spend too much of my time planning the decor. Yes, funky colors will be in the basement. it's a finished basement where the tv and stereo and all of my husband's big boy toys are. I'm thinking orange...blues...I like firey stuff.
But the furniture is kind of between khaki and olive so I'm still ruminating.>Linen's and Things.

Yeah actually I did that last month. Seriously. It was a terrible terrible month. I wish I'd had soft smooth expensive high thread count sheets...Maybe I'll describe some rooms to you and get some decorating advice. I have some good ideas but I always need reassurance.
It's a big country kitchen and everything needs re-doing. I wanted wood floors but i don't think it's practical so we're doing laminate flooring which looks like ceramic tile...we want Tuscan colors in the kitchen...deep yellows, blues, greens...I've blathered way too long...
