"Should i even think about going to a lawyer when I feel so damn confused?"Absolutely. Any domestic relations lawyer is going to understand your state of confusion, and should be able to help you sort through the stuff you need to be thinking about from the stuff that really is unimportant now. Also I would think it would help tremendously for you to have your own advocate - someone who's only role is to champion your cause. I'm sure you must be feeling alone and isolated.
People rightly moan and groan about the sluggish court system (everyone's court system operates too slowly to suit most people), but i actually think that to a point, time is an ally in divorce matters. Most people need time to deal with all of the emotional issues before they can really make informed decisions about more practical considerations like property splits. A good divorce attorney should see this and should protect you from making quick decisions that are purely emotion-based.
By all means make those phone calls, and of course always let us know how we can help.
