In reply to sometimes the day's ok , posted by Dreamerz on April 26, 2003, at 20:23:48
i had a good day today, too, with children and music and wine...
sometimes things do really seem ok.even though my landlord is putting this house (MY house, dammit!) on the market soon. and i essentially lost my teaching job (as did about 25 other people this week), we who substitute teach in our district have been cut, summarily. at least it's not just me, it's a whole bunch of us. tomorrow i will spend my day rabble-rousing, calling everyone on the list and having us all go down to the unemployment office TOGETHER on monday, to file for benefits. at least the unemployment claims will all end up on the desk of the "human resources" guy who wrote the memo. more like INhuman resources...
but never mind - today was enough. i've done crying.
love,
W.
