I forgot to delete the (nm) from the above post
Hi Dreamerz
Your message above (http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/social/20021218/msgs/33824.html ) was the first "Please be Civil" message I have ever received since I started posting on PB.
I have been unable to get this out of my mind because I had no intention of being uncivil and because I am so sensitive to criticism myself I always go out of my way to be civil in all of my posts.
Were you serious Dreamerz? My intention was to convey that Dr Bob was sort of like our leader by asking if he was a #8. I in no way was trying to say that he was a dictator (when I looked back at #8 on the list I realized there was a comment about Stalin in there somewhere)
Dr Bob were you offended by my post? Did you read my post the wrong way? I hope not. I would never intentionally try to offend anyone on this board!!
Can I ask some general questions of everyone?????
1.How many of you have received "Please be Civil" (PBC) messages since you started posting on PB?
2. How many of the PBC messages were received when you did not intend to offend and were in fact making (what turns out to be the case with the benefit of hindsight) a rather pathetic attempt at being humorous?
3. How did the PBC message make you feel?
4. If you are having a particularly bad time of things and you are in a vulnerable state did the PBC message affect the rest of your day? I have been unable to let this go in my mind. I know I'm very sensitive but I have been really down about this all day?
4. When you are feeling particularly depressed or sensitive at the time how long did it take before you were able to put the PBC message into perspective?
5. How DID you put the PBC message into perspective?
Dreamerz, I do not know you but by reading many of your posts (and the posts of many others on this board) I have become rather fond of you just like I have developed a fondness for many of the other posters on this board by reading many of their posts.
I am doing my best to try and fit in but for someone with social phobia I seem to be unable to fit in even in the anonymous environment of PB.warm regards
