Just about everything that makes me feel good relates to the natural world. I can enjoy man-made things too - a funny computer game, funny British shows, museums, etc but what really makes me happy is always around us in nature.
Like you, Dinah, I can say 'my sons, mountains, gardens, cats (not dogs so much), birds, grass, flowers, frogs, finding a new, interesting bug, etc'. I love simply lying on my back in the grass near some tall trees on a sunny/cloudy day, & watching the clouds, birds, & the upside-down perspective of the trees moving in a breeze. It's like another world completely.
Out of curiousity, Dinah, did you ever walk around the house when you were younger, watching the images in a mirror held horizontal in front of you, pretending that you were walking about in that upside-down mirror world? I often did & somehow can view you do the same. I still occasionally do it.
