Julie,
When I wanted to see where I was in my depression I would take this little survey every week or two. It's just a simple group of questions that evaluates the symptoms of depression and gives you a numeric score of where you may stand in relation to the signs used in diagnosis. It's meant as a self evaluation tool so don't expect anything more than finding out how you feel about yourself.
When I first started taking it my score were always in the upper 30's to low 40's which indicated some pretty bad depression. Now I am down into the high teens and feel much better. If you track your scores over time you can also see where med changes may have affected your mood. I was able to see a big drop of when I added Mirapex to my cocktail.
Give it a look:

> Glad I found this board ! I've been reading alot, mostly about meds. for the past two years I never seem to crawl past the mark of thinking dead may be better than this kind of life. 2 weeks ago found a new pdoc and he started me on effexor combined with my old Welbutrin (even tho it is apparently not effective). My question may be dumb, please don't laugh, but it has been so long since I felt good, what kind of results should I expect once I get the right meds? Will I feel some drive for life again? Laugh spontaneously ?Look forward to something.. anything ! I've been living in this hole for so long I need something to look forward to.
