Have to quit smoking.........

Any advice??????
I don't know if anyone has read my posts above concerning surgery.... but I'm told I HAVE to quit... and anything I can do to help in aiding my healing I want to do.
Has anyone tried hypnosis for it??? I know, it seems like the wimpy way out... but I'll be going thru a lot, and I don't want to add withdrawal to the list.
Thanks for any wisdom that may come my way!!!!
