Naltrexone is used to block the ability to feel high with substance abuse. It also happens to be a medicaiton that a few people here have found to be an excellent augmentation strategy for their ADs, when other augmentors didn't work. Anyway, for the Carter story line, just before Green siezed, he was confronting Carter about not having detectable levels of naltrexone in his blood, meaning he might be shooting up at times, or maybe has another drug of choice. OTOH, maybe Carter's explanation was truthful--that his scrip ran out and he forgot to refill it. I don't think so, though.
