yep. have been asked that from time to time in many diff. settings.
after so many years of therapy and so many books it would be odd if our way of communicating didn't reflect some aspects of that particular language style.
don't think of it as screamingly obvious you've had too much therapy but instead you could try framing it as you're exceptionally well versed in helpful ways of communication. = )
try to look at it as a compliment. perhaps this therapist was threatened by your ease w/ language or maybe she feels a sense of being the resident therapist member of that board (despite it not being a support board) and doesn't want any competition. *grin*
take pride in your abilities to be an effective communicator.
