One thing that I do when I don't feel like dealing with reality is find a nice violent video game. And kill stuff. Doing this with a group of friends is even more relaxing.
So I would suggest doing something with friends to keep occupied.
Or, why not go on a vacation yourself? That'll give plenty of things for you and your T to talk about when you both get back.
Pick up a good book. Lately I've been reading through the collected works of Plato, Nietzsche, and Emerson. Good "chewing gum" for the brain so to speak. Aristotle's works actually made me think so hard for so long that I didn't initiate a single conversation for a little less than a month. People thought I was depressed, but no, I was just in deep contemplation. Good stuff...
And what of this rant? How about you tell us here at babble about it. Maybe if you clear that from your mind, the creative part will come back.
Anyway, let us know how you do.
