Fingerpainting Therapy? Do I Seem That Crazy?

Posted by Poet on August 23, 2006, at 13:37:23

I saw Dr. Clueless yesterday. She said I should try fingerpainting, only she didn't say fingerpainting. She described pouring paint on paper and moving it around with my fingers to take out some of my anger and frustrations. She suggested black and red paint.

I graduated from kindergarten I know what fingerpainting is. Evidentally I can't be trusted with sharp instruments like a paintbrush or wicker for basketweaving.

I told her point blank I am NOT doing this. She said, well, you don't have to do everything I suggest. Damn straight.

I didn't say any fingerpaint art work in her office, maybe she puts them on her refrigerator at home. Or her other patients think she's the crazy one.

I honestly am insulted by this. Next time I see her I think I'll wrap a poem around my nice red stress ball and bounce it off her head.
