Would that shake the way you felt about him/her in therapy?I think it would. There's only so much of a person's real self they can hide for any length of time. And even if he's really good at hiding it, that in itself seems kind of unfair and deceptive to me.
I realize that it's best for me to not know all about him. I certainly wouldn't expect to know all about my GP or an ER doctor and I could be literally trusting them with my life. I guess this is so different because it's such an interpersonal relationship.
