What you have is called "Adolescence," and most of us get over it. It's kinda time limited.

I know that sounds flip, but I've read enough of your posts to know that there's very, very little actually wrong with you. You probably have some sort of anxiety disorder -- like many of us, including my husband who is one of the mentally healthier people I've come across in this world -- and you say that you have ADD. That might be all there is, Matt. You're anxious, and have a hard time paying attention.

There's no easy fix to get through it. You just gotta live through it, and if you think about modifying your behavior in order to get a more favorable reaction from others, you might find things improve. One thing I'll suggest is that you make an effort to seek out more social situations. Whatever it takes to do that. Social cues can be learned, Matt, but they take practice. And the more social contact you have, the less time you have for rumination about yourself. That's the "cure" for what ails you right now.

I'd also say that therapy would be a good choice, too, because you'll have someone to help you learn the social cues, and help you manage your reactions.

Good luck.
