I used to find The Dr. Phil Show informative and thought-provoking but now it's more like Jerry Springer except the guests keep their clothes on and don't throw chairs at each other.
I find it so odd that he thinks breast implants are a proper way to help women's self-esteem. I suppose I could see him verbally supporting a woman who had thoughtfully come to the decision to have implants, but the fact that he pays for all these breast augmentations like candy canes at Christmas just boggles my mind. Especially when so much is now known about not just the physical complications of plastic surgery, but he emotional problems associated with the surgery itself - how so many women will NOT end up feeling better about themselves after the surgery but will instead keep finding more and more they want to "fix." But I suppose that's all another thread topic entirely.
As for Dr. Phil, I think he's lost a lot of credibility in the interest of getting higher ratings. I don't watch him at all anymore.
