It's my birthday, and I didn't say a word about it to my T. I didn't say a word about it last year either. (Yikes, I've been in therapy awhile!) Anyway, when I walked in and sat down today, he turned on his CD player and blared the Beatles' "Birthday" ("They say it's your birthday . . ."), had a candle for me to make a wish and blow out, and gave me a beautiful card with a hiking path (a walking trail is one of the meditation tapes he made for me) with a note inside about that and ended with "It's a pleasure to know and work with you." I was very touched. I guess he writes my birthdate a lot on insurance forms or something.
Just thought I'd share one of the rare lighter and touching moments of my therapy since I usually only complain!
