mainly why inderal works better than other beta blockers, is because it crosses the blood brain barrier, unlike other beta blockers. but this can cause increased troubles in people with respiratory conditions. but unlike other beta blockers, it has cases of very bad rebound tachycardia, so don't stop it right away, or you could have an unsafe increase in blood pressure.
other beta blocksers like metroprolol, bisprolol, or atenolol, have less incidence of this, and are easier than inderal in respiratory condtions like ashthma Or COPD. even calcium channel blockers can be better in some situations, than beta blockers, as they help chest pain, which can create anxiety. or be the effect of anxiety.
