Thinking to convert phenylalanine to PEA..

Hi.
I'm left with a bottle full of DLPA capsules which turns to be useless to me. :-( See thread:

Perhaps i have L-aminoacid decarboxylase deficiency (if such condition exists. I don't take any decarboxylase inhibitors) which would prevent the phenylalanine->PEA conversion inside my body.
Thus, i'm looking for an EASY way to convert it to PEA and see if ingesting straight PEA will actually work for me. It's just a matter of removing a -COOH, if i'm not mistaken.
