that's interesting-- i've had the opposite effects with the APs you described. abilify really didn't do much at all. geodon had no antidepressant effects, but it put a ceiling on my mood so i didn't get manic. i've been prescribed high-dose seroquel for depression. and zyprexa helped keep my mood from plummeting while the AD kicked in. i guess people really do respond differently to meds.

as for combining two antipsychotics-- i've taken seroquel and geodon together, with the seroquel being mostly for sleep. and i found the combination of an old and newer AP effective-- haldol and geodon. geodon had more of a mood-stabilizing effect and haldol calmed my thoughts.
