That was a great post Miss H.
If God is testing you, what are you supposed to learn? May I please suggest:
#1 God is a loving, personable God, who knows you, who loves you, who cares about you, and who needs you.
#2 God has something else in mind for you. Since He is the master creator, He also knows how to mould us into the person we were created to become.
#3 You are special.
#4 If you have purpose, then we all have purpose. If God loves and cares about you, He loves and cares about me and everyone else. What did Samuel say? "Here am I"

What should we say when we sense God is directing our lives?

It is a rocky road at best, but with faith in:
a) the one and only true God
b) the God of our choice
c) one of many Gods
d) whatever or whomever you call God,
we can accomplish all things.http://scriptures.lds.org/query?words=%22I+can+do+all+things%22&search.x=31&search.y=10http://scriptures.lds.org/query?words=faith+I+can+do+all+things%22&search.x=31&search.y=10
