Thanks! I've got Better Boy and some kind of beefsteak. So far I haven't seen a real difference between them. I've got them in large containers, and boy oh boy are they tall. :)
Thanks for the tips for uses. I've been having lots of tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and fresh basil, and also bacon and tomato sandwiches. So so so good to have them so fresh. :)
I can't help with brussel sprouts. I've never tried any other veggie, just the tomatoes and herbs besides my flowers. I don't have a whole lot of sunny space--way too many tall shade trees. The tomatoes are actually in the midst of a perennial border since it's away from where the squirrels hang out and is one of the sunniest spots.
Slugs, ugh. I'm lucky that I don't have a slug problem, but aphids and mealy bugs are big here.
Happy gardening! Isn't it great to be able to sit back and look at your garden, knowing all the work, care, and planning you put into it and remembering how it felt? :)
