hi goody
nice to meet you :) welcomeDo you have any good friends? what do they look like? if they got a strange haircut would they be worse friends?
Think about the best teacher you ever had. Was s/he also a supermodel? did his/her attractiveness make him/her a better teacher?
Think about who will repair you if you ever get in a severe accident. Will you care if your surgeon has assymettrical features, is overweight, and dresses like a slob?
Think about who you will invite to your wedding- will you only invite pretty people?
IMO, the only people that should be judged by their appearance are people who are in positions where appearance matters. In professional fields, it's important to look professional. In academic fields, it's important to wear clothes. In the military it's important to wear your uniform properly.
In very few areas of life is true stunning beauty relevant or important. unfortunately, popular culture/celebrity worship/fashion/pop music tends to be one of those very few areas. Are you an MTV host? or a magazine model?
chances are if you take care of yourself, you're a very nice looking person, and there are very few opportunities that will be denied you because of your appearance. You will be able to fall in love, and people will fall in love with you. You will be able to have a satisfying career, and do many things that are important to you. Maybe you'll never be a runway model. The truth is that *most* beautiful people will never be runway models, either because of their age, or their height, or their weight, or because they don't want to be.
You're alright. really. You sound like you're better than alright, actually. you're pretty darned good.
:)
