olive leaf extract

Posted by g_g_g_unit on December 12, 2012, at 20:51:26

I've been taking 1000mg of OLE twice a day, on an empty stomach.

I've definitely noticed a Herx reaction, which may be a good thing (was overcome by flu-like symptoms, coughing up mucus etc.), but it's make me feel quite agitated and overstimulated.

I was made to understand OLE is an MAO-B inhibitor? Is this correct? I couldn't tolerate Curcumin either due to agitaiton (which is also an MAOI I believe).

Should I try taking a smaller dose? FWIW, I had a similar reaction to 500mg q.i.d. Is there anything similar to OLE I could try instead?
