Yeah you can essentially take anywhere from 2000-10,000 IU and not get toxicity from vit D. Anyone who does get ill from those doses have hypersensitive vitamin D receptors, and uncommon phenomenon.
10,000 IU, from all the most recent research, is the upper level of what youd want to be taking.
2,000-4,000 IU is safe, for sure.
I think vitamin D is necessary for mood. I think when I take more I feel better and I definitely appear to be sick less when I take it regularly.
