If you "feel" different in winter than you do in summer, that is if your depression/mood/energy is different with the changing seasons, then you may have to take different supplements for winter and for summer. That is what I have to do. I am bipolar, so there is a definite link between bipolar and seasonal variations in depression. For instance, in winter I am a lot more anxious (social anxiety), so I rely on supplements that reduce anxiety, namely B3, B6, B5, B12, zinc, magnesium, fish oil. In summer, I have a lot less energy, so my depression takes a different turn and I have to rely on vitamins C, B1, borage oil (for energy), fish oil (for mood), and calcium (for overall depression). So far, I have been in a trial and error period with my summer supplements, but they seem to be working well together. Time will tell, however. I've also noticed that N-acetyl-cysteine can be helpful for my depression as well as niacinamide. I also rely on vitamin E both summer and winter to help with sleep. Hope this helps some of you who are bipolar and/or have seasonal differences in your depression.
