Thats a great sounding mix!! And alot of pills to take....
My goodness I don't know where to start!
I had one GP who suggested SJW - thats about as 'alternative' as they get. Wow, thats amazing to think that GPs in Oz are knowledgeable about 'alernative' things. Really great.
Man, you can't get anything out of a GP in the UK unless its an SSRI (or somesuch equivalent) or TCA.
Anything stronger you need to see a pdoc. And that is hard to do. And even then they are very very conservative by American standards and pretty unknowledgable to be honest. It is so bad in the UK....
I'm so jealous. I can't even get my hands on a benzo let alone tiap. or methadone (BTW are you using that as an AD type thing or something - if you don't mind me asking - and can I try some please?)
Sigh. If I won the lottery I would see one of those pdocs in the US who knows all about 'alternative'and conventional treatments.
I saw a nutritionist once. She was pretty unhelpful - well she didn't prescribe or recommend anything that I didn't know already and all that it amounted to was fish oil, high strengh multi and Vit C and some extra chronium type thing. All I which I knew already, but due to my aforementioned fear of poisening myself, could never really prescribe or take myself. I haven't even implented her strategy. Sigh.
Anyway the most success I'm having is with my herbalist - she's a really lovely lady and I 'connect' with her. She really does treat 'the whole person' rather than the symptoms, if you know I mean. I kinda didn't really believe the holistic blurb in her leaflet but the contrast between her and the pdoc is amazing. I usually burst into tears after a pdoc appointment (which are slightly redunant and really, in the UK, they're just pill-pushers - only there to check on how you're doing with the latest AD/whatever. And as I'm not taking any conventional ADs, we don't do anything useful - anyway I'm in Finland now, so no more useless NHS pdocs!)
So, anyway I'm babbling away!
It gets pretty cold here too. Temperatures in Jan/Feb/March are kinda -20șC but thats not as cold as in Siberia. Thank god for the North Atlantic Drift! I was just reading about that earlier, actually. If it were to ever shut down (which it might do with global warming), Europe would have winters as cold as Siberia.....
