Tryptophan doses, efficacy, safety

Posted by zefdie on February 25, 2006, at 16:04:32

Hey all! I use Larry Hoover's trick of equine-supply tryptophan on an empty stomach with juice and a B-complex. I'm wondering if there's any consensus on the best doses for tryphophan. I feel like I need a lot but don't know the effect this has on the body's peripherals, if any. Is there a consensus on the proper amounts of tryptophan?

I'm currently taking Lamictal and fish oil, btw. I think tryptophan is helping me pull out of a terrible depression.
