I'm not sure what the actual drug action is but I took it for OCD for about a month at the same time I was starting Effexor and it helped a little with my "skin picking" problem which is what I had read on the web it could be helpful for. I think you have to take it in very large quantities for a beneficial effect. Here's a link:
