> You sound incredibly knowledgable about the brain and its functioning and I admire that and wish that I had the same aptitude that you do for understanding it, but I've tried for, jeez, years, and I still cannot come CLOSE to what most of the people on this board know about how things work up there. I've read what I can find and the basic conclusion I can come up with is that serotonin is bad for MY brain, which you stated somewhere (that it can make mental illness worse). I would appreciate SOOOOO much if you could make a very simplified list of what supplements (or other things) help what parts of the brain/disorders in your opinion (if there are any that do help). I apologize if that is asking too much as I don't mean to impose but I would just love to get some use out of your info here. So far what I know is that I should research Lecithin. Either way, thanks for your very interesting postings.

Dr. Daniel Amen's speciality tends towards children and ADD, but I still found his Brain Checklist to be interesting. I recommend taking both.

Then you'll get to this page which explains and recommends: http://www.brainplace.com/ac/tests/subtype_results.php
His comments jibe with my experience so I think he's on the right track. Perhaps one day we can be diagnosed with brain imaging.
