I am working with a cutting-edge supplement company to design an anxiolytic/antidepressant formula that many on this board will be interested in. What's going to be in it is mostly beyond this discussion, but I make mention of it because it's going to include gastrodin, a component monomer of Gastrodia Elata et blume extract. It is an SSADH inhibitor, thereby slowing the breakdown of GABA. I am also going to include a GABA-T inhibitor, natural BZD [partial] agonist, Ca2+ blocker, natural DA antagonist preferential for autoreceptors, and a few other standard things like kava (for Na+ and extra Ca2+ blockade). I will also probably include a small amount of phenibut for GABA-B agonism and to increase BZD binding. Then, I'm going to combine some key aspects of that formula with natural MAO-A and MAO-B inhibitors, as well as maybe a natural imidazoline receptor agonist and natural pde4 inhibitor to produce a Nardil-like herbal product. Not bad, huh? It is my sincere hope that at least one person here will find relief in my work.
