Ok, sure, if I have too much it doesn't help, but I find that the lift it gives me is obviously followed by a down, which actually helps me feel tired and go to sleep.
Odd huh? I also have a friend who feels the same way - he's been drinking coffee for this purpose for years. Note - it has to be drunk about an hour before.
I think the opposite works for most people, but coffee isn't always the evil health-busting monster people aways make it out to be.
