I think vits, minerals, and suppliments can certain be of help, but whether they can totally replace RX meds is a little debatable for cases of severe symptoms. Most suppliments for depression, such as SJW, generally are for mild to moderate symptoms. From a personal standpoint, SJW didn't do anything for me, but my symptoms were more towards the anxiety side than depression. Fish oil I can recommend, as I do think it's good for mood and has a number of health benefits. B vits can be overall good for you, too.
I know from reading the med board, things have been very challenging for you. Using vits and suppliments can be a good idea, I just think in severe cases, the symptom relief they may provide may not be adequate.
Others here may have a totally different take.
