First: Sorry to keep asking so many questions when I have little to offer in return. And thank you all for answering questions so generously. I--and I'm sure many others--greatly appreciate the time and effort you put into sharing information in this forum.
I recently read a few articles that link stress and obesity, particularly when the excess weight is located primarily in the abdomen. http://www.ucsf.edu/daybreak/1997/04/415_gut.htm is one such article. (Sorry it isn't a hyperlink--what I know about HTML wouldn't fill the space occupied by the period at the end of this sentence.)
I see a very clear connection between my eating habits and stress. I also experience simply delightful bouts of irritability (in which my mood snaps from steady to angry in an instant, over trivial incidents or sometimes over nothing at all), and I'm very easily distracted from just about everything.
My question is, can anyone recommend one or more supplements that I can take to at least lessen, if not eliminate, these weird symptoms? Is there anything that works for both the weight aspect and the irritability and focus aspect?
I've read posts here about L-theanine and I'm going to order some today. I'm also going to try magnesium, which I understand plays a key role in certain areas of emotional function. Is there anything else I should know about?
Thanks again for all your information and support. Dr. Bob really has drawn a wonderful group of people to these boards.
