> I have been in remission from OCD for over nine years now and TOTALLY attribute my recovery to Vitamin B6. I started taking it for PMS symptoms in 1990 as the pms was aggrivating the ocd and I hoped that by controlling one it would help another. Within about 3 weeks it was like a curtain went up for me and for the first time in years (I was 30 at the time) I felt like me again, I had no idea that the B-6 would literally stop the ocd symptoms! B-6 balances seratonins I later found out. I started with 50 mg per day and slowly increased it to 250 mgs per day which is the maximum one should ever take, I stayed at that dose for a year or so. I now take 100 mgs a day and have been well for many years. I do have some occasional anxiety but usually this occurs if I have not been good about taking the B-6 and upon taking it regularly again, I am once again fine. I also take B-1, B-12 and folic acid which all help to balance brain chemistry. For all of you suffering out there who read this, please give this a try. OCD is so all consuming and the relief I have found has been wonderful. I was so pleased that I didn't have to take drugs to control this. (Like many OCD sufferers I kept my condition silent and was not at the point of being able to see my doctor about it at that time). Good luck.
