Fish oil is useful in most but not all forms of schizophrenia. The pyroluric type, which seems to be involved in 27% of cases, suffers from a deficiency of arachidonic acid instead-an omega-6 fatty acid.I have updated some information on it in www.omega3.20megsfree.com/whats_new.html.I think anybody with a friend or family member with schizophrenia should read about it too in case they have this type as it is usually possible to treat it quite successfully and you may be able to direct somebody on to the right track to normal health and back to work if you know the symptoms.
