OK, I think I'm starting to understand. Facebook itself does have the equivalent of an informed consent form, in their Terms and Conditions. Usually most people just skip through all that small print and check the "I agree" box.
Facebook can be a risky place because you are not anonymous there. If you should write anything incriminating for example, that could be used against you. Police use social networking sites like MySpace and Facebook all the time to do investigations.
You could also get into trouble at work for writing inappropriate things etc.
Well I know this stuff and Facebook assumes you know this stuff when you check their little "agree" box, but right now Dr. Bob just wants to make sure we know, since he knows most people just skip that part.
I suppose it's nice Dr. Bob wants to make sure we know, however, I don't know why he feels the need to explain to us. He doesn't have any obligation to, does he?
