I would like to learn why Babble handles blocks publicly? Yes, yes, it's to teach all of us a lesson.
I've just scrolled down this page and noted how much space was taken up concerning Zen's block.
If blocks were done by babblemail or e.mail, all of this "fanfare" that is created would be down to a minimum.
I think if it were done discreetly, as it is at other sites, it would cut down on a world of hurt and frustration.
But, I'm sure a thousand reasons for the public humiliation and hurt will be tossed out here now for our benefit. I know that that will depend upon whether or not this post is answered.
I'm not saying that Zen's block shouldn't bring discussion and outrage, but it feels to me that all of this could have been handled better.
Once thing that could have been done before now is for administration to go ahead and deal with what the posters are asking for.....reducing the fr*gging block and get it over with.....ah, but then we wouldn't have all of the drama and we wouldn't be wringing our hands.
