The issues here are of great importance and significance IMO to this mental-health community.
The rule has an origin and is in the archives.
A question that one could have is why the rule was made. Another question that one could have, is the statements by Dr. Hsiung in his FAQ as to his thinking about why he made the rule.
Let us look at his first thinking:

I ask:
1. does posting what you want to share with the members here stop anyone, including what Dr. Hsiung referrs to as {less confident posters}, from entering the thread at any time, even if there are 4 posts with a members's name without another member's name in between? If you agree with that thinking, could you post a URL from an accredited mental health publication to validate that thinking or post your rational for validating that thinking? If so, I could then have the opportunity to respond to it.
2.Does anyone have to enter a thread here?
3.Could there be threads of topics that {less confident} posters could not have interest in or knowlege of?
4. Could this rule have historical parallels?
