I just want to acknowledge your support for those who are concerned with fairness and consistency in the administration of this electronic forum. The perception of unfairness, actual unfairness and inconsistent administration of human communities often has a detrimental effect on the mental health of some people. An interest in fair administration can be very supportive of people who are sensitive to unfairness or to the perception of unfairness.
I also want to point out that some of the most effective voices for justice have at times been isolated and scorned by the majority of their community. Likewise, some of those who laid the foundations for modern science and modern medicine by their attention to consistency and accuracy that contravened prevailing community standards were often shunned even to the point of death, but their efforts continue to save and improve lives now centuries later. A troublesome rain today can nourish life for the future.
